The Portland Cello Project featuring Thao, “Tallymarks”

Strings are tricky. But add them in just the right amount in just the right places and I’ll come running. This is by the Portland Cello Project, which plays string versions of rock songs, usually instrumentals but sometimes with guest vocalists. Their last album included a number of songs, such as this bit of loveliness, recorded with Thao Nguyen, who fronts her own band, the Get Down Stay Down.
